Graham has been appointed by Haringey Council as the lead contractor to reconfigure the waste operations site in Tottenham, North London.
As part of the contract, Graham will transform the 1.9-hectare Marsh Lane Depot into an operational hub for the council’s waste management and office functions.

The construction firm has been given the responsibility of removing the existing single-storey temporary structures, relocating the existing single-storey bin repair enclosure, retention of the existing double-height salt barn and erecting a two-storey 3000m² office building.
The scope of the work also includes the construction of a new gatehouse, a covered fuelling and a wash area along with other ancillary single storey storage and service structures across the site.
Graham will also build new vehicle access and signalled junction at nearby Watermead Way, which will service the wider borough and provide crucial access to other amenities.
Graham London office director Rob Joyce said: “We’re excited to be working with the London Borough of Haringey to transform and consolidate their waste collection at Marsh Lane.
“The new development will play a crucial part in bringing together the borough’s waste management facilities as well as provide essential office space for the parks and regulatory services teams.”
Secured through the London Construction Programme Framework, the project is expected to be completed in two phases, where the existing council depot will be retained during the phase 1 construction to the south before decanting to allow phase 2 works to the north.
Graham stated that it will take up the new project with sustainability in mind. It will install three air source heat pumps and 330m² of photovoltaic solar panels installed along with 20 charging points for electric vehicles as part of the project.
The realignment of the Marsh Lane site will allow all the operations are the existing council depot on Ashley Road to be relocated and the place could be used for residential development in Ashley Road in the future.
