UK property development firm Muse has entered a £75m agreement with Dartford Borough Council and Homes England to regenerate the former’s Westgate area.
As part of the deal, Muse is responsible for the mixed-use development of the area, which is jointly owned by Dartford Borough Council and Homes England.
The agreement will see the parties move forward on creating detailed plans for the project.
Under the proposed scheme, Muse will develop a six-screen theatre, a 109-bed hotel, five bars and restaurants, 140 new homes, a new public square, a multi-storey car park and a 37,250ft² space for restaurants and bars.
The 140 new homes include one, two and three-bedroom apartments, which will be spread among four buildings.
Discussions are currently being carried out with the local Clinical Commissioning Group to establish a new health facility.
