Multi-family housing developer NRP Group has reached financial close and broken ground on a mixed-income housing community in Anna, Texas, US.

The 340-unit development will accommodate people across various income levels.

Of the units, 40% are designated for individuals and families earning 80% or less of the Area Median Income (AMI), with an additional 10% reserved for those with 60% AMI earnings.

NRP Group development vice-president Alena Savera said: “This ground-breaking represents a major milestone in delivering a thoughtfully planned housing complex that blends high-quality residences with walkable access to grocery stores, restaurants and nearby parks — all just steps from the heart of Anna’s commercial centre.”

The community offers easy access to employment hubs in McKinney, Sherman, and the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.

The development offers a mix of one and two-bedroom residences that cater to singles, couples, and young professionals.

Incorporating design elements inspired by Anna’s modern infrastructure, the project will feature a contemporary architectural style with neutral tones.

The development includes one four-storey building with primary amenities and ten three-storey residential buildings. These buildings will provide garage and carport options, spreading across a 15-acre site.

A key feature of the development is a 2.5-acre public park, which will serve as an outdoor hub for both residents and the wider community.

The park will be directly connected to the city’s hike and bike trails and will include amenities such as pickleball courts, a dog park, a covered pavilion, and dedicated parking for visitors.

Residents will have access to a range of amenities, including a pool with lounge seating, grilling stations, an outdoor entertainment area, and a 24-hour fitness centre.

The NRP Group focuses on the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area as a priority market.

The company has developed around 7,000 units across more than 30 properties in the region and continues to expand with recent ground-breakings for affordable housing projects such as Thrive on Crawford in Fort Worth and The Fielder in Mesquite.

In December 2024, the NRP Group, in collaboration with Rockefeller Group, initiated construction on Silverado, a Class A apartment community with 342 units in Las Vegas, US.
