Parsons Corporation has been chosen to deliver project management services for Phase 1 of Southwest Florida International Airport (Regional South West, RSW) terminal expansion in Fort Meyers, Florida, US.

Parsons, functioning as an extension of the airport authority-led team, will provide project and contract management support throughout the construction and initial operation phases.

It will work with design, construction management, and construction engineering inspection teams, along with other technical advisors and stakeholders.

To ensure project control oversight and completion, Parsons will leverage in-house expertise and subconsultants.

Phase 1 includes adding approximately 200,000ft2 of new and remodelled terminal space, aimed at reducing wait times, consolidating checkpoint operations, improving concourse connectivity, increasing airside concessions, and introducing additional amenities while preserving the airport’s aesthetic.

Parsons Corporation provides services in the defence, intelligence, and infrastructure sectors.

The company stated that it has provided planning, design, construction, management, and maintenance services for terminal, landside, and airside infrastructure at more than 450 airports across 40 countries, with adherence to global agency standards, including Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Parsons Infrastructure North America president Mark Fialkowski said: “We are honoured to support the Lee County Port Authority to ensure the successful delivery of Phase 1 of the transformative Terminal Expansion Project.”

“Our team is committed to applying our extensive expertise in airport infrastructure to enhance the passenger experience in Southwest Florida and to deliver solutions that enhance the region’s mobility and economic growth.”

In December 2024, Parsons secured a $53m (£40.5m) three-year contract with the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) in Saudi Arabia.
