US-based multifamily developer Wood Partners has initiated construction on a series of projects across Palmetto, Florida, Nashville, and Atlanta in the country.
This move marks an expansion of the company’s presence in the Southeast US and is part of its new “attainable” housing initiative, which aims to offer upscale living at more affordable rates.
The Palmetto project in Florida is a 246-unit, four-storey development, providing a range of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment layouts.
Its strategic location offers residents easy access to beaches, medical facilities, and various shopping and dining options.
The community is designed with numerous amenities, including a pool, sundeck, fitness centre, and spaces for both work and leisure.
In Nashville, the Gallatin development spans 35 acres and will feature 372 multifamily apartments alongside 5,000ft² of commercial space, with amenities such as a clubhouse, fitness centre, and dog park.
The project broke ground this February and anticipates delivery of its first units by early 2026.
Meanwhile, the Ben Hill community in south-west Atlanta will consist of 236 units with a mix of apartment sizes and access to key industrial corridors.
This development, which broke ground this January, is expected to be completed by August 2026. It will offer similar amenities to those mentioned above.
Wood Partners says its communities are distinguished by high-quality finishes, including granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, coupled with premium amenities.
The developer claims to achieve cost savings by choosing suburban sites, implementing consistent designs, and opting for minimal yet quality landscaping, thus lowering rental price points.
Last year, Wood Partners launched several housing communities, extending its portfolio to include locations such as Union City in Atlanta, Conner Park in Tampa, Mint Hill in Charlotte, and Rayzor Ranch in Dallas.
Wood Partners CEO Joe Keough said: “Wood Partners’ recent expansion in the Southeast creates valuable living opportunities in the region’s fastest-growing markets as we continue to deliver upscale yet attainable housing.
“The growth of our attainable housing strategy has allowed us to provide high-quality, cost-effective apartments where they are most needed. We are meeting this unmet attainable housing demand across our entire national footprint.”
In July 2024, Wood Partners and German capital partner EIG EuroInvestor officially broke ground on Alta Westover Hills, a luxury residential development in San Antonio, Texas, US.
