Capacit’e Infraprojects has been awarded a significant contract for a new civil core and shell works project in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

The company received a letter of intent from TenX Realty, a step-down subsidiary of Raymond, for a total contract value of Rs2.2bn ($25.5m), excluding goods and services tax (GST).

The project, known as The Address by GS – Bandra Project, will involve the construction of two basements, a ground-plus-23-floor structure, and a non-tower area at Nirmal Nagar, off the Western Express Highway in Bandra East.

Capacit’e Infraprojects, based in Mumbai, offers comprehensive construction services across various sectors, including high-rise residential buildings, office complexes, and industrial facilities.

In other industry news, last month, Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Buildings & Factories division secured a major contract from Brigade Group for the construction of residential and commercial towers in the Indian cities of Hyderabad and Chennai.

This contract marks the largest residential project awarded to L&T by a private client to date, further cementing the company’s position in the construction industry.

Additionally, in the same month, Adani Properties, another Indian company, was declared the highest bidder for the redevelopment of Motilal Nagar, a large-scale housing project in Mumbai, with an estimated cost of Rs360bn.

The redevelopment of Motilal Nagar I, II, and III, covering 143 acres in the Goregaon West suburb, is poised to become one of Mumbai’s most extensive housing redevelopment projects.
