PCL Construction has opened a manufacturing Center of Excellence, leveraging increased investment in reshoring production for the US and Canada.

The Center of Excellence in Denver, US, brings together PCL’s manufacturing experts, uniting talent from various regions into one cohesive team for building across North America.

This unified group is expected to enhance the efficiency of plant facility planning, engineering, construction, and production startups.

Andrew Ahrendt, who has been serving on the leadership council of the US National Association of Manufacturers since 2022, will spearhead the new centre.

PCL US operations president and COO Deron Brown said: “Andrew is a proven leader both within PCL and externally in the community.

“No doubt in his new position he will drive innovation in smart factories, while delivering an exceptional level of quality to our manufacturing clients.”
