YIT, a construction and project development company, has initiated the construction of a seaside housing project in Raseborg, Ekenäs, Finland.
The development, named Asunto Oy Raaseporin Norra Marina, is located on the shore of Ekenäs’ North Harbor.

Construction began last month and is expected to be completed by December this year, with the project valued at approximately €13m ($13.39m).
This project will feature 34 homes, including 12 two-storey row houses and 22 apartments, covering approximately 3,100m² of floor space.
The apartments will vary from two-room homes to spacious five-room family residences.
The seaside location of North Harbor will offer residents picturesque views of the area’s archipelago and marine nature, along with convenient access to the amenities in Ekenäs’ centre.

By GlobalDataA jetty, roughly 20m from the communal yard, is planned for the site, offering homeowners the option to acquire a mooring space.
The buildings will adhere to energy class A requirements, utilising geothermal heating for floors and water, and incorporating solar panels to supplement electricity needs for building technology and communal areas.
Materials such as low-carbon hollow-core slabs and facade bricks will be utilised to reduce the carbon footprint of the development while a waste management plan will be implemented to minimise mixed waste.
The majority of the site’s parking spaces will be equipped with electric vehicle charging points.
The development will also include a sheltered communal yard with children’s play areas.
YIT Residential Finland Uusimaa and Häme vice-president Mikko Lempinen said: “I am very glad that we are launching a new project in Ekenäs, Raseborg.
