Kier has secured a contract from Cambridgeshire County Council to provide comprehensive maintenance services across its extensive portfolio of corporate buildings.
The contract, which will run until 2027, encompasses a broad range of services including preventative and reactive maintenance, minor project works, along with equipment testing and servicing at the properties.
It has an option to extend for two additional years until 2029 and covers 160 corporate properties throughout Cambridgeshire.
This includes the Council’s office buildings, such as the New Shire Hall headquarters, highways depots, libraries, park and ride facilities, and various community and residential care centres.
Kier Places, a division of Kier that specialises in delivering workplace, building, and residential solutions, will be responsible for the execution of these services. The contract also stipulates the provision of round-the-clock help desk support for the Council’s estate.
Kier Places managing director Jamie McKechnie said: “We’re delighted to be working with Cambridgeshire County Council to maintain their corporate estate.”
