Peab has secured a contract, valued at Nkr104m ($9.4m), to construct a new office building in Nørvevika, Ålesund for Norwegian real estate company Kolvika Brygge.
This project marks a significant development for the region, promising to deliver a modern office space with sustainable energy solutions.
The planned office building will span roughly 4,100m² across three floors, including a connected parking garage. A notable feature of the development is its energy-saving heating system, reflecting a growing trend in sustainable construction practices.
The building will serve as a hub for Kolvika Brygge, which has interests in prominent seafood exporters, with both Ocean Supreme and Norwegian Seafood Company set to occupy office space in the new building.
Peab’s involvement began with a Phase I contract, which entailed collaborating with the client to develop an optimised product that addressed quality, risks, and uncertainties.
The project has now progressed to Phase II, with the signing of the construction contract, which is a turnkey contract.
