By GlobalDataDubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) Real Estate Development assistant vice-president Amer Al Farsi said: “Aligned with Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan and building on DWTC’s existing regional leadership and world-class event hosting facilities, Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) expansion will drive the next stage of MICE [meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions] sector evolution.
“The DEC master plan will see the venue expanded over three strategic phases which will bring the total amount of indoor exhibition space to 180,000m2, featuring 26 halls on a single contiguous level that spans 1.2km, with the ability to hold one mega event or multiple events simultaneously.”
Egis is developing a ‘Sustainable Materials Strategy’ and ensuring adherence to green standards to obtain Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
The project will incorporate advanced sustainable features, including renewable energy systems, eco-friendly materials, and waste management strategies, aligning with international best practices.
